Christopher Anker, MD University of Vermont Medical Center Dr. Chris Anker is a professor in the Division of Radiation Oncology at UVM. He is part of senior leadership at the UVM Cancer Center, working to develop and bring the best in clinical trials to patients throughout the region. He is co-author of several research studies detailing factors predictive of control for radiated brain metastases. Dr. Anker serves on multiple national committees contributing to clinical trial design including the National Cancer Institute Rectal-Anal task force, NRG Oncology and ECOG, the Eastern Cooperative Oncology Group. For ECOG, he also led a team to publish consensus recommendations endorsed by the NCCN Melanoma Guidelines on how to avoid brain and other organ toxicity in patients receiving radiation and targeted drug combinations. In serving the ASTRO and American Radium Society guidelines committees, he helps define national standards in oncologic care. |

Adrienne Boire, MD, PhD, FAAN Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center Geoffrey Beene Junior Faculty Chair, Associate Member Human Oncology and Pathogenesis Program Adrienne Boire, M.D., Ph.D. is the Geoffrey Beene Junior Faculty Chair at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York. As a neuro-oncologist, she cares for patients with metastasis to the central nervous system (CNS), with particular focus on leptomeningeal metastasis. As a scientist, she runs a laboratory-based research program focused on leptomeningeal metastasis. Her team employs multi-omic analysis of human samples to identify cancer cell adaptations to the challenging microenvironment of the leptomeninges. Leveraging mouse models, in vitro modeling, and classical biochemical techniques, the team uncovers the mechanistic implications of these discoveries to understand the biology of the leptomeningeal space and establish novel therapies for leptomengingeal metastasis. |

Elizabeth Dennis, DO MaineHealth Medical Group, Medical Director of Palliative Care Dr. Dennis completed her medical education at Midwestern University Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine in Illinois, followed by an Internal Medicine residency at Mary Imogene Bassett Hospital, which is affiliated with Columbia University in upstate New York. Dr. Dennis is passionate about improving the lives of her patients. She leads two clinical programs at NECS: a high-risk program that focuses on early detection and risk reduction, and a survivorship program for patients who have moved past their cancer treatment and are focusing on their long-term health and any lifestyle adjustments that may be needed. |

Amy Litterini, PT, DPT MaineHealth Cancer Care Network Program Manager of Survivorship Amy J. Litterini, PT, DPT, received Master of Physical Therapy degree from Duquesne University in Pittsburgh, PA, and a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Simmons College in Boston, MA. Prior to her current role as Program Manager of Survivorship for the MaineHealth Cancer Care Network since 2021, she was core faculty in the doctor of physical therapy program at the University of New England, and the Director of Cancer Wellness at the Center for Cancer Care at Exeter Hospital. Her publications and research have focused on oncology rehabilitation and cancer survivorship, including several book chapters and a co-authored and co-edited book on palliative rehabilitation in life-threatening illnesses. In 2022, Amy was selected to represent the US as a peer review member for the World Health Organization’s Package of Interventions for Rehabilitation for Cancer. Nationally, Amy served on the board of directors of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) Academy of Oncologic Physical Therapy, as the Oncology Academy Delegate in the APTA House of Delegates, and on the Oncologic Specialty Council for the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties and National Board of Medical Examiners. Regionally, she her task force service includes the Maine Cancer Foundation and the Northern New England Clinical Oncology Society. She was certified as a patient navigator by the Harold P. Freeman Patient Navigation Institute in Harlem, NY, and is a certified hospice volunteer for Compassus Hospice. |

Elizabeth B. McGrath, DNP, APRN, AGACNP-BC, AOCNP, ACHPN
Dartmouth Health Elizabeth received her DNP in 2015 at Northeastern University. Elizabeth is an advanced practice nurse currently employed at Dartmouth Health as a nurse practitioner in the Gastrointestinal Program in the Dartmouth Cancer Center. She is the Director of Survivorship at DCC and leads the Distress Subcommittee. Elizabeth has over thirty years of oncology experience and has worked in a variety of practice settings in Vermont and New Hampshire, including radiation therapy and medical oncology. Elizabeth has extensive clinical expertise and holds certification as an Adult Geriatric Acute Care Nurse Practitioner, as well as an Advanced Oncology Nurse Practitioner and an Advanced Certified Hospice and Palliative Care Nurse. Elizabeth is Chair of the NNECOS Nursing and Allied Health Professional Advisory Committee, and has led the OCN review course for NNECOS since 2015 |

Alissa A Thomas, MD University of Vermont Medical Center Associate Professor of Neurological Sciences Dr. Thomas is a practicing neuro-oncology at the University of Vermont Medical Center and an Associate Professor of Neurological Sciences at the University of Vermont Larner College of Medicine. She is active as a clinician, clinical researcher, and medical educator, both locally at the University of Vermont and in national and regional professional societies. Dr. Thomas works in close collaboration with clinical colleagues in medical oncology, radiation oncology, neurosurgery, and palliative care to care for patients with primary and metastatic brain tumors throughout our region. She is the past president of the Northern New England Neurological Society, and an active member of the Society for Neuro-Oncology. Dr. Thomas's research focuses on interventional treatment trials for patients with malignant brain tumors and quality of life and supportive care studies for the brain tumor population. |
