Program Overview
The Northern New England Clinical Oncology Society (NNECOS) offers a limited number of educational grants—typically ranging from $500 to $3,000—to support specialized training and professional development activities that enhance oncology care in the region. These awards are designed to empower NNECOS members in pursuing educational opportunities that will, in turn, strengthen the broader oncology community through shared knowledge, skills, and service.
Grant-supported training should lead to a tangible service activity that benefits NNECOS members across the tri-state region. NNECOS accepts Requests for Applications (RFAs) from current members on a rolling basis and will continue to review proposals until all available funding has been awarded.
Program Goals
The Grants for Service Program aims to:
- Support professional development that enhances clinical practice, patient care, or organizational expertise.
- Encourage dissemination of new knowledge, skills, and innovations throughout the NNECOS community.
- Promote collaboration and capacity-building across oncology disciplines and institutions in Maine, New Hampshire, and Vermont.
- Strengthen the culture of service and professional engagement within NNECOS.
Eligibility
Applicants must:
- Be a current NNECOS member in good standing.
- Seek funding for an educational activity or specialized training that clearly aligns with the program goals.
