Fellow Liaisons

Approved by the NNECOS Board of Directors in July of 2016, the NNECOS Fellow Board Liaison positions are two-year, non-voting seats on the Board of Directors, providing representation to the fellowship programs in Northern New England. Fellow liaisons participate in board meetings/teleconferences, on NNECOS committees, and facilitate/promote membership and engagement among their peers.

In 2021, the NNECOS Board Fellow Liaison positions expanded to two representatives from each institution.

Where Are They Now?

NNECOS is delighted to reconnect with former Fellow Board Liaisons to spotlight where they are now. Dr. Hibba tul Rehman was one of our first Fellow Board Liaisons.

  Hibba tul Rehman, MD

I am currently at UVM working as an assistant professor of medicine in the department of hematology and oncology at Larner College of Medicine. My clinical interests are lung cancer, melanoma and sarcoma. My research interests lie in understanding the mechanisms involved in pathogenesis of cancer and ways to target them, to control the disease. My current research activities include a NNECOS-funded project to evaluate strategies to prevent sarcopenia in NSCLC patients who are undergoing systemic therapy.
