Why join NNECOS?

Under the dedicated leadership of community and academic oncologists and non-physician members of the oncology care team, NNECOS offers timely information, outstanding networking, educational, and collaborative opportunities to professionals across the region. NNECOS is the premier professional, not-for-profit society for members of oncology care teams across northern New England.

Recognizing the importance of professional collaboration in the provision of high-quality oncology care, NNECOS is a leader in and proud sponsor of groundbreaking regional research projects through annually budgeted funds. Past projects include studying access to care and barriers to clinical trials participation.

NNECOS offers its members four educational meetings annually: two OCN review courses, a one-day educational meeting in the spring, and a two-day annual educational conference in the fall, which includes abstract presentation opportunities and continuing education credit. A blend of clinical, scientific, practice management, and oncology nursing sessions offers something for everyone, while the in-person format creates opportunities for networking and collaboration with colleagues from across the region.

Fellows and other young professionals beginning their careers in oncology are vital to NNECOS. Complimentary membership, fellow-specific educational sessions, abstract presentation opportunities, and travel grants to facilitate participation in our highly regarded annual educational meeting are just a few of the benefits offered. The NNECOS Mentorship Program is also available to young professionals seeking career guidance from experienced mentors in the field. Learn more.

NNECOS members receive discounted registration fees for all of our in-person events. In fact, the discount for attending the NNECOS Annual Meeting alone can offset the cost of yearly membership for physicians and allied health professionals in our region! Project grant funding, mentorship opportunities, and meeting-specific educational travel grants are also offered exclusively for our membership.

Other benefits include poster presentation opportunities, the invitation to local networking events, educational sessions (in-person & virtual), and more!
